When delivering your products, you may encounter situations where you need to send a few items (such as crates, boxes, or bags) with the driver with the expectation that they will be returned to you on your next delivery. While we understand the situation, it is definitely not recommended, as it can cause problems in the future.

Why is it not recommended?

Since Metrobi has a large driver network, it's not advised to leave your belongings with any driver. Even if you take the same route frequently, unexpected events can happen, and you may need your items when that driver is not available to drive you.

Here are some ways to avoid it.

1. Add a return stop to your delivery

  • When creating your delivery on your dashboard, there is an option to add a return stop to your route. If you already know you are leaving belongings with your driver, simply add this extra stop when scheduling a new delivery. It’s definitely the best thing to do, and it’s going to avoid possible issues in the future.

2. Add one extra stop at your place

  • If you are not going to be at the pickup stop when the driver finishes the delivery, you can just add your place as the last stop on the route and have the driver deliver your belongings to you at the end of the delivery.

3. Be clear on your stop instructions

  • If you are adding a stop specifically because you need the driver to return your belongings, you need to let him know exactly what should be delivered at each stop. When creating your delivery, make sure you are adding very clear stop instructions and specifying what needs to be delivered at each dropoff location.

Leaving your belongings overnight with your driver is definitely not recommended, and Metrobi has no responsibility for it. Make sure you are always receiving your goods back, and don’t leave them with the driver after the delivery has finished.
