The beauty of Metrobi is that we provide you with a driver's network and the necessary tools to create your own team of drivers. If you are experiencing issues with drivers being late, we'll need to work to educate them and establish clear boundaries to solve the problem.

Why is this important?

You are forming a team here, and it is possible that late pickups may occur during the delivery process. However, it is crucial for the drivers to understand the importance of following the rules you have set and that being late for a pickup is unacceptable.

We have developed some tools that can assist you in such situations.

1. Rate your driver and give them a feedback

  • As soon as the route has finished, go to your dashboard and rate your driver for the delivery. Providing a low rating and giving friendly feedback may be enough to encourage them to change their behavior.

2. Build your own driver’s network

  • Go to the driver’s page and select the good drivers to be your preferred drivers, and if you have a recurring issue, ban the bad drivers. This way, you’ll build a driver’s network with good drivers that understand your business and won’t get late for no reason.

3. Pay fairly your drivers

  • You don’t need to overpay your drivers, but you definitely can’t underpay them. Offering higher payments will help you retain the best drivers in the long term and ensure that you have drivers available on time.

4. Change the driver's payment

  • Remember, you are building your own team, and you need to set clear boundaries. If the drivers are late, and especially if their lateness causes you to lose money, you should educate them that they will only receive full payment if the delivery succeeds. To do this within 72 hours after completing the delivery, click on the three little dots next to the delivery and select "Change driver's payment".

Bear in mind that this is a team-building process and that it usually takes up to three weeks to see some results. If you are on the support plan, call your ops representative, and they will help you with this whole process so you don’t have to do it by yourself. If you are not, click here to learn more about it.
