When preparing products for delivery, it's easy to overlook the need to prepare for the logistics of having them picked up. As a result, it's not uncommon to encounter problems that could have been easily avoided with some prior planning.
Why is this important?
Preparing your package for pickup can help prevent issues such as misdelivery, late deliveries, and stress during the pickup process. By following these steps, you will be well-prepared and ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible.
1. Have someone to meet the driver
When the driver arrives, it is very important to have someone at the pickup location who knows that he is coming and is expecting him. This way, as soon as he arrives, they can immediately explain the next steps and how to proceed with the delivery.
2. Consider possible parking issues
Especially if your pickup locations are in areas with high traffic, it is essential to consider parking options for the driver. If the driver cannot park near the store and has no assistance in picking up the products, you will have difficulty finding drivers for future deliveries. If you are on a support plan, give your operations representative a call and work together to find a solution.

3. Prepare the products and place them together
If you have multiple drivers working with you every day, you need to separate your products from each other and make it very clear for each driver which products they need to take.Β
4. Add a phone number to the pickup stop
When creating your delivery, you'll be asked to provide a phone number for the pickup location. If, by any chance, the driver faces difficulty finding the place or parking, or any other issues arise, they will need to have someone to contact.
5. Be ready on time
We always recommend that our drivers arrive at the pick-up stop 10 minutes in advance to avoid issues with late deliveries. However, if you're not ready on time, you may have trouble finding drivers in the future. Our drivers have multiple routes in a day, so you need to be careful with pickups taking longer than expected, as it can cause a snowball effect and affect all other deliveries.
